Catalan is a language in the process of extinction, with fewer and fewer people using it. The widespread trend is to switch to another language—usually Spanish—at the slightest opportunity or to address strangers directly in Spanish.
This campaign presents various statistics on the current use of Catalan, changes over recent years, and the situation among young people. The goal is to use these concerning data points to encourage a shift in young people's attitudes and motivate them to use the language more.
